Red Wine Pate de Fruit

Description

Pâte de fruit, meaning “fruit paste”, is a traditional French confection made from fruit puree or fruit juice. In the case of this Red Wine Pâte de Fruit, it’s made with the very excellent Merlot from Engelheim Vineyards in Ellijay, Georgia. We finish some pieces in the traditional manner with sugar, and dip some in our “bean to bar” chocolate. We think that the natural fruitiness of our Costa Esmeraldas chocolate pairs perfectly with the Red Wine Pâte de Fruit. The Maybird set includes both sugared and chocolate dipped pieces.
